Safety & Sanitation Policies in the Time of COVID-19
No. Not during the pandemic, and never afterwards either. Your escape room experience at Conundrum is always a private booking. The only people allowed in will be those you bring.
While that depends on the escape room you choose, you will never be allowed to have more than eight people in your group. Some rooms are smaller in size, so the maximum is six people to ensure that you can maintain social distance if you need.
Nope. One of us will greet you in the lobby to talk you through rules and tell you the background story of your room. We will be wearing a mask and stay at least six feet away during that time. Then we will escort your group to your room, and from there it will be just you and the people you brought with you.
Yep! Customers are required to wear a mask inside the building, as are employees.
Yes! Hand sanitizer will be available in the lobby and in the escape room. We will require all members of your group to use hand sanitizer or wash their hands with soap and water before playing the game, and we encourage you to wash your hands when you are finished playing as well.
Each escape room will be cleaned and sanitized after it has been played, every time. We have increased the amount of time between reservation slots for our rooms to allow us to be thorough.
The state of Colorado and Jefferson county require that non-essential businesses like ours decrease the number of people allowed in our building by 50% and require everyone inside the building to wear a mask. Frequent hand-washing and cleaning of high touch surfaces is also required.
WHAT’S AN ESCAPE ROOM?
The concept is simple. You and your group will be escorted to a room with a specific theme and storyline that gives you a mission to accomplish in one hour or less. The game master will explain the rules and instructions you need, but the rest is up to you! You’ll have exactly 60 minutes to solve all the puzzles and find all the clues you need to escape the room or complete your mission. Think you’re up for the challenge?
Conundrum features some of Colorado’s most immersive escape game experiences. Solve riddles, complete unique puzzles, scavenge for clues, and work as a team while engaging your minds in a real life, creative escape game with friends, family or coworkers. We strive to provide an amazing experience for first-time visitors and experienced escapers alike!
So, how hard are our escape games? That’s entirely up to you and your group. If you’re a lone wolf, expect to fail, but if you effectively work with the group, you’ve got a decent shot.
More Commonly Asked Questions
The best way to reserve a game is to book online through our website. Online booking closes one hour before the scheduled times, please call us at (720) 441-3011 for last-minute booking. Walk-ins are possible but cannot be guaranteed.
Yes! Although you can walk in without a reservation, we strongly recommend booking and paying in advance to ensure a slot in the scenario you want. Payment and reservations can be made on our site or at our location while you wait. Keep in mind, we are a non-cash business. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your start time.
Players under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult that agrees to be their guardian. While some of our puzzles may be challenging/sophisticated, some 8-12 year old participants have been successful at solving them, and younger eyes are often more observant than older adults!
Our scenarios are best suited for groups of 4-6 players. The scenarios are impossible to complete alone and are very difficult to complete with a group of only 2. If you have a group larger than 6-8, we recommend splitting into two groups to best experience the game.
Nope! Conundrum has a ‘private room only’ booking system, so you will always have the room to yourselves!
For your safety, the room won’t actually be locked (but we can pretend). You will always be able to exit in case of emergencies.
Although some of life’s activities might be more fun under the influence of mind-altering substances, we don’t think this is one of them. Having a clear, focused mind actually makes this game more enjoyable and your team more successful. This game should not be played under the influence of any mind-altering substances aside from prescription medication and/or caffeine. Remember, our staff reserves the right to refuse anyone for any reason. Celebrate after you win!
You should plan to be here 80-90 minutes total. The escape experience is one hour, but you should arrive 10-15 minutes early, and you will typically leave about 10-15 minutes after you finish your room. If you have some time concerns, please call us at (720) 441-3011 to discuss. We have a lot of scheduling flexibility!
Mostly. We have a single step up from our parking lot, and a single step to reach the Cabin in the Woods room. We do not have dedicated handicap parking. All of the rooms also have at least one chair to rest in.
Generally, no, you will lock up your personal belongings while you are in the room. The only item you might need to provide for yourself is reading glasses, and of course your sense of adventure!
Yes! Currently, we can accommodate up to 28 players at once with advanced notice, and we are continuing to expand. If you have more than 30 people in your group, we have other options available to accommodate you – just give us a call at (720) 441-3011.

No, we do not design our rooms to scare people like in a scary movie. But there are surprises in store, and some of them may startle you.
